LOCAL PHILANTHROPY

Orange County Foundation for Oncology Children and Families

The Orange County Foundation for Oncology Children and Families (OCF-OCF) is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization providing year-round recreational and social activies designed to foster supportive relationships for pediatric cancer patients and their families. OCF-OCF provides support activities to all their  patients and their familes who live and/or recieve treatment in Orange County.

The Delta Eta Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta continually works to establish awareness for OCF-OCF and Camp Fire USA. In 2008 the ladies of the UC Irvine chapter established the first annual Crescent Classic, a video game tournament to raise money and awareness for both our philanthropies. Our Crescent Classic is a successful hit among the greek community raising countless dollars through donation for both OCF-OCF and Camp Fire USA.

The ladies of the Delta Eta chapter also work in coordination with our local YMCAs to help encourage and create positive development for young children. The YMCA serves thousands of U.S. communities, serving to strengthen spiritual, mental and physical well-being. Gamma Phi Beta has put on events with YMCA as our annual Creepy Crescent and our YMCA Carnival providing fun activities and good times for our young new friends.
